I believe in Christianity as I believe that the sun has risen: not only because I see it, but because by it I see everything else -C.S. Lewis

Education/Career

I have been attending Bowling Green State University and am graduating in May with a bachelors in Arts and Sciences. I was an Apparel Merchandising major with a focus on design and styling, but switched at the end of my sophomore year to [Military] History- whoa...I know. I have always loved history, but was intimidated to really dig deep and make it my main focus. When I made the switch it was amazing. It was such the right choice for me, but I continue to keep fashion a very fun and important part of my time. I am interning at Mosaic (where I also work) for my minor in journalism (Public Relations focus). I will pick a vintage or retro piece per week and research the maker, contents, history, and other neat facts about the garment. I will then write up a story on the chosen piece and post it here and on the store's website, which is also linked on my blog. I am hoping to gain PR experience while still having the opportunity to learn more about historical preservation and enjoy indulging my pink thumb (a.k.a fashion). I am thinking I will take a year off and then begin applying to grad school programs in history/preservation. My focus has been mainly European WWII conflicts- the Holocaust and medical experimentation in Auschwitz something that I have studied a great deal and will continue to. I know my interests are scattered, but I am excited at the possibility to use all of these learned and adaptable skills to continue growing intellectually, mentally, emotionally, and add something to whatever company or organization I may end up working for in the future. Jake and I are excited to have an open door once I graduate, who knows where we will end up!

This is the university based, student run, historical journal I am a columnist and editor for! Such a fun and neat experience, please check it out: The Cave
