However you would like to say it, this is a little ditty about a few of the odds and ends that help create the love nest that my fiance and I live in!
I think my fiance would be a little bummed if I didn't mention our love for sports right off the bat.
Our number one is football and we sort of had a trade off. He gave me the Longhorns (my dad has a small problem with this) and my family instilled in him tough love for the Browns. It happens that Cleveland also picked up Colt McCoy-the previous quarterback star of Texas-it worked out nicely.
Our other teams include (mine) the Indians and (his) the Rangers. At least my accessories I have worn to Cleveland games will work for the Rangers too-their team colors are the same, shew...that could have been dangerous territory!
Not only do we make frequent trips to the park to play football and baseball but I have grown up playing almost too much volleyball and my fiance is sweet enough to feed this addiction. We encourage every and any couple to spend time playing, whether it's a picnic made up of leftovers, frisbee or staring too long at the sun (not recommended specifically) it makes for special and silly moments.
We like to classify ourselves as really cool nerds? Collectively we own a library of military history books and reports, which we find nothing wrong with. My fiance has covered so much and I have focused mainly on WWII and Vietnam. We frequent the history channel and museums like it's our job. Details on this will appear later, but don't you worry- this topic will come up plenty.
A quick list of a few amazingly interesting books:
The Rise and Fall of the Third Reich
Auschwitz: A New History
Presidential Decisions of War
Hill 488
Flags of Our Fathers
Tiger Force
13 Cent Killers
Gettysburg--The Second Day
The Twentieth Train
The Civil War Diary of Wyman S. White
This will be continued, I'm sure.
Movies: I'm not sure if it is necessary to explain this one so much as put some colorful pictures up. And, of course movies are good for giggling, silly commentary, being in junior high again and holding on to him when I get scared and snuggling our toes under the blanket (this is highly recommended).
Not pictured: October Sky, U-571, Shooter, Boondock Saints, Shawshank Redemption, Bride Wars, We Were Soldiers and yes a whole, whole lot more!
Sandwiches.
We may have a small obsession.
**This post may have been a little bland but it's a simple taste of couple things we enjoy here and there. We'll see what's to come, but I cannot even say for sure, we'll call it spontaneity right? That's a pleasant way to put it**
Have a Sunny Day!
